About This Spot
Stepping into 99 Ranch Market on Blalock Road feels like entering a bustling hub of everyday discovery where the familiar hum of a well-loved supermarket meets the vibrant, layered world of Asian culinary culture. The space carries a busy yet inviting rhythm—shoppers meander through aisles filled with vivid produce, shelves stocked with unique pantry staples, and fresh seafood glistening under gentle lights. There’s an honest, lived-in warmth here, a sense that this is a place where families and food enthusiasts alike come to connect with flavors and ingredients that speak to both tradition and daily life.

I like coming to this 99 Ranch location because it's conveniently surrounded by so many other stores. It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.

I always stop in here when I'm in Houston and want good Vietnamese food. I had pho with steak; delicious broth, just the right amount of noodles, plenty of meat. Love the spring rolls with beef. I always get the Mi Quang, a house special which is delicious and not available at all Vietnamese restaurants.

The food court here is awesome! Love grabbing kimchi soup before taking a trip around the store.

Always like coming here. My little girls (2 y/o) actually enjoy it here as well. Open space. Good food. We like going to Pho Quynh. Price is still good for what you get. Broth was yummy. And you get a beef rib. Can't beat that. Although the rib could be little more tender. Service is great. Even my girls enjoy the good here

Looks like an out of business Kmart converted into a 99 ranch. I have been to a lot 99 ranches in Cali and this one might be the largest and cleanest of them all. Still far from whole foods standards but credit given where it's due. I came here mostly for a soy sauce. I was expecting the usual kikkoman in large quantities. Naturally brewed no preservatives. There were some but definitely not featured and no big jugs. However I found this gem of a soy sauce. Out dozens I have tried this might be the best - 99 ranches oven organic low sodium sauce. I still can't believe it

Nice clean shopping center with a good variety of stores and even an eye doc’s place in here. They have good little restaurants for different tastes. The grocery store is clean and has a good variety of exotic fruits and traditional fruits too. The clothing stores don’t sell anything I would buy it they seem to have a huge selection… almost too crowded for comfortable shopping. The bathrooms are disgusting and smell bad so one star off for cleanliness.

Huge super market with many different vendors/stores and a food court inside. A wide variety of authentic international grocery items. A huge fresh fish aquarium in back. Beautiful and clean. Produce has a large section of various Asian vegetables. The food court is very reasonably priced. Also separate bakery, beauty and clothing/accessories shops/vendors. I could spend all day here. Large parking lot- but it’s always packed.
